The presentation they gave was lively and interactive;
Michael, Kate, and Dannit spoke enthusiastically about the CH Robinson
internship experience. In fact, they said that the jobs performed in their
internship program mirror the work that entry-level sales representatives are
given. They also emphasized the benefits of Robinson, including internal
promotion, opportunities for continuous training and professional development,
and incredibly high employee retention rates. Whether or not we in the audience
were thinking about careers in supply chain management before, we are definitely
thinking about them now.
The greatest universal takeaway from the presentation was the
interviewing tips; as recruiters themselves, Michael and Kate disclosed what
they really like and really don’t like in an interview. “CH Robinson shared a lot of useful advice
about interviews, especially their advice on second round,” said sophomore
Nisha Boyington, “I will definitely be looking back at what they said before
every interview I have.” And whether it is for CH Robinson or any other
company, their universal tips are sure to make a positive impact.
We want to thank Michael, Kate, and Dannit for speaking with
us and we in WIB hope to see them and CH Robinson again soon!
